Station With Personality
Well I have returned. It took almost a year but here I go with my discussion of the history of top 40 radio. I've listened to just about all the airchecks from the stations in the U.S. and in Canada from the 60's and 70's and I can tell you that no station towarded more that WLS in Chicago. Why them? Because they had the greatest jingles (Solid Rock from '71-'72 is the best), the greatest people, the best contests, and one of the two best surveys ever (CHUM in Toronto was probably). I must admit WABC, 'LS's brother station, was somewhat okay. There will be more about WLS in the future.

Welcome to My New Blog
Well my friends, welcome to my new blog. This time I like to focus on my other passion; which is music. Rock and roll music from the 60's, 70's, and 80's through a perspective of Top 40 radio history. I've give a take on a song and at the heart of this is year-end surveys that I've collected over the net and from some of the surveys that I created. Like it? Enjoy.
